CAT 800 Series represents the latest evolution of Lightspeed’s installed classroom audio systems that includes an amplifier, infrared sensor/receiver, speakers, and the ultra light REDMIKE classroom microphone. These systems are specially tuned to penetrate ambient noise, optimize vocal clarity, and deliver full-range media sound.

Introduction of CAT 800 systems to the classroom maximizes schools’ investment in technology and ensures all students can hear every word. The systems are highly compatible and easy to integrate with all classroom technologies including computers, projectors, interactive whiteboards and DVD players.

CAT 805iX is an infrared wireless microphone system that provides voice reinforcement to existing classroom audio systems.
CAT 855 is dubbed the ‘Audio Hub’ because it meets the vast majority of classroom audio applications. CAT 855 easily integrates up to four audio sources plus two iR wireless microphones. It offers the PageFirst option, which mutes the audio system when school PA system announcements are made.
CAT 885 represents the ‘Advanced” Audio Hub for media centers and larger classrooms where multimedia is heavily used. The four audio inputs are augmented with a Teacher Voice Priority feature, speaker zoning capabilities and the optional PageFirst technology.
REDMIKE Share is a durable student pass-around microphone designed to encourage student participation in an active learning environment.

Speaker options for CAT 800 Series systems include the innovative MCQ hybrid speaker for superior intelligibility, full-range sound and quick install. Traditional ceiling or wall speakers are also available.

CAT 800 Series Classroom Audio Systems are available for delivery in April 2010.
